A private guided tour of the old Jewish quarter of San Martín where I discovered who "el Desmanido" was, characters like the great Moshé bel Shem Tob of León, the place of the Jews in medieval León (current Barrio Húmedo), what they did and how different his life was in León over the course of five centuries compared to other places in Spain.
